they very well could, assuming a defense budget that allows the military to acquire new systems ever passes. aircraft carriers are normally named after important personages, so if one was named after him it'd be a CVN(X)-21-class vessel (assuming those aren't cancelled, either). McCain has a destroyer named after him, so maybe Obama'll get an Arleigh-Burke-class, depends on the DoD.
and all the Obama-hating is completely pointless, I don't see what Bush did to help the Navy, and Obama's now saddled with the consequences of Bush's (and the country's) stupidity. I completely disagree about his stances on continued procurement of high-cost weapons systems - we need those F-22s - but I also think he has very little choice in the matter.

I suspect they will! If they named one after Bush, who was a one term president who started the Savings and Loan Scandal they should name one after Obama!
