OMG! Flea problem help ASAP?
I went to someones house and I guess they had pets, and therefore they had fleas(which we didn't know). Well when me and my mom got into the car I found fleas on my feet(I was wearing flip flops). So I immediately start panicking. Well, everytime one got on me, I would start to throw them out the window(or so I thought). When we got home everything seemed to be under control because we didn't see anymore. I took a shower and washed my hair. BUT then I saw one on my leg. And when I woke up this morning to eat, I cooked eggs and saw one in my bowl! And I just saw another one but I couldn't kill it! Are you kidding me? I don't know what to do! We have no pets, and this is why. I couldn't even sleep last night I was so scared. HELP ME I'm gonna go crazy! Should I wash my hair again? And keep it wet? I heard they don't like water!!!!
Yeah, my mom said she's gonna call Terminix. THIS SUCKS
Thanks you guys! I'll try that.

It sounds like you accidentally brought them into your house. It will take some work, but you can get rid of those buggers. Put it this way, your home will be really clean when you're done.
Wash all your bedding in soapy water, since you found one there. The soap will kill any fleas or eggs.
Vacuum all carpets and clean the floors well, including between the cracks. Dust everything that gets dusty, fleas seem to like dust. Steam clean the carpets, this may be expensive, but it is important to do.
Throw away all vacuum bags used, empty or not and remove them from the house.
For you, take another shower and comb your hair carefully in case any fleas or eggs remain.
Sorry this had to happen to you, I'm a Nurse and have seen people panic with their own pets bringing the fleas in and these are the things we tell them to do.

Clean your hair with GREEN DAWN DISH SOAP next time!it actually works!!
you have to treat your yard and home too. When your pets are affected your home and yard is too.
borax salts (also called sodium polyborate) causes fleas to dry out and kills the larvae when they inhale or try to eat the dust. work it deeply into the carpet and leave it on. vacuum up the excess. make sure to remove your pets during this, and wear a mask while applying it and vacuuming it. you can let them back on the carpet after you vacuum. this is said to be a very effective way to get rid of fleas.
you should thoroughly clean your place. vacuum the heck out of everything. steam cleaning will kill whatever eggs are there. they cant handle heat, so you could heat your place to 100+ degrees (of course you need to take your cat and go somewhere else for the day or overnight), and when you get back vacum it all up.
you also need to treat your yard. grassy areas and moist areas can be treated with agricultural lime. make sure you don't use the kind that is used in construction work. this will dry out the fleas. or you could water the heck out of your lawn and drown them out too.
