What is the future of TV sets?

We had SDTV, 100hz SDTV, progressive scan SDTV, now we've got HDTVs. But what can we expect in the future? Links, if possible. Thanx! )

OMG 1440P from LG?! If you work in consumer electronics then you fail. Horribly.

    We're already seeing 1080p 240hz HDTVs.

I think the next big step will be 3d displays that don't require special glasses to see. Samsung and Panasonic (I think) are already working this, but they're probably about 10 years away from consumer product.

I do know from speaking with reps at LG that they're already working on a 1440p which will make our new blue rays obsolete in a few years

aha how about the "invisible" TV sets? The ones that use two screens. The back one turns black and the front one displays the real TV. Pretty cool if you ask me!
