-Rasheed Wallace
-Josh Howard
-Ricky Williams
-Kareem Abdul Jabar
-George W. Bush
-John F. Kennedy
-Drew Berrymore
-Bill Murray
-Chris Farley
-Bill gates
-harrison ford
-Jack nicholson
-Bruce Lee
-Bill crosby
-Pretty much every musician.
These are all people that young kids look up to. If you want to trash talk a player for smoking reefer than include every single famous person that smoked it as well, ok?
I honestly don't think it's a big deal at all. I mean if it was cocaine ar heroin then it would be a different story.
lakers4life- You obviously don't get it. My point was, people are now making LeBron look horrible for smoking pot, yet pretty much everyone kids look up to smoked it as well. So if you want to trash talk one person, add every single person's name to that list.
Don'tcriticizerealize- you don't get my point either. It isn't a big deal smoking pot. I said, if you want to call out someone, list everyone else. Don't just single out one person. And if you don't believe who I put, I have one link already, and you could easily find anyone else on google by yourself.
Jade- hahahah thanks for the info. haha. I know that Obama phelps etc. have been bashed about the same issue. People got over it obviously, but now people are acting like this is something new. LBJ admitted this a LONG time ago.
Rob K- It's probably true to haha. Charles Oakley also smoked pot back in the day.

I HAVE A CONFESSION BASKETBALL SECTION
I SMOKED POT WHEN I WAS 17
and 16, 15, 18, and 19....
IM SORRY
lmao it doesnt matter that Lebron smoked, its so dumb that people actually care. Its not even a criminal offense in my state, you just get a ticket.
Its like Lebron saying, I ran a red light last year, who cares.

If you don't smoke pot or like smoking pot, there is no reason for you to have to put up with his habit. He needs to stop being such a looser and get his act together before he looses you. I've totally been in your shoes, and although I'm one to party occasionally, 3-4 times a day is crazy. Tell him it's the weed or you. Seriously. If he chooses the weed, then you know where you stand. Obviously he can't just toke a little, so stopping altogether would be the best choice for him

The thing that pisses me off the most is the timing of this story. The dunk incident just cooled down, and a few hours later this story was released. He admitted this to ESPN 7 years ago.
And here's LeBron's quote 7 years ago: ..."People ask me if it's a hard decision going to the NBA, but I've made harder decisions," he says. "Decisions about smoking or going to school, or stealing from a store or not stealing. Those are harder decisions. Yeah, I smoked weed. When it's around family, around friends, of course you want to try it. I tried it a couple of times. But when you get on the court and your wind ain't there, that's when you've got to just stop doing it. So the NBA decision ain't a hard decision compared to that."
And the media is bringing it up now. Crazy.

first of all the names u listed have no sources, so i dont believe them.
you are just trying to make lebron seem more likable by throwing in legendary people. Please dont.
Lebron deserves this negativity. he took the marijuana and drugs. he deserves the consequences. he was a stupid, arrogant, selfish person and now he shall be embarrassed by the media.
Lebron has been doin so much stuff lately that shows he really isnt the person he portrays. Bad sportsmanship, Confiscating videos to not look embarrassed, neglecting 8 yr olds for autographs at mo williams camp. and doing Drugs.
and let me remind this guy hasent even won anything yet. and he acts like he runs the world.
only in his dreams. lebron will be exposed.

You have to realize that the media wants to create stories, even if there's no real news there. Athletes tend to be seen as "role models" for a lot of kids, even if they shouldn't be, so that becomes an issue. Overall, the media just takes pot very seriously. They did trash talk Phelps quite a bit, if I remember.

It's not a big deal. It proves he's human. Charles Oakley believes 60% of the NBA still smokes pot.

Well my opinion on this "issue" is formed on a lot of reasons. I'm not fond of LeBron, but weed is so incredibly harmless.
First of all, I have never, ever, ever smoked marijuana. Never. I've never smoked anything period, just wanna make that clear lol.
Secondly, studies show that Marijuana is less harmful than cigarettes. Plus it has been linked to being a positive effect on breast cancer as well as having tons of other medicinal properties. It hasn't been linked to lung cancer, much like cigarettes have been.
The only reason why weed is illegal is because the US can't tax it. They can't control who grows it, so they make it against the law to grow and smoke it.
Having said that, people did make a big deal of Obama smoking weed and smoking reg. cigarettes because of his status. And to be fair, a player last year came out and stated that he smoked weed as well and people were all over him too.
I think people are still excitable right now. But it really isn't a big deal when you compare it to other famous people who have smoked weed. Morally, well, that's a whole other issue.
One last thing: I doubt that most LBJ fans look up to many of those you listed. It's natural for them to react to people they are familiar with.
Edit: You're welcome =]
I didn't find out about that until this morning so it's new to me, and I'm sure that it's new info to many others. But like I said, weed is harmless LOL.

It's Lebron haters who are making a big deal about it. I don't think it's that big of a deal, I would bet about 95% of americans have smoked pot at least once in their lifetime.
- SkipLv 41 decade ago
because Lebron is arguably the best player in the NBA its going to be a big deal like Micheal Phelps and Ricky Williams was then people will get over it

Basically, LeBron haters are just loading up with more ammunition for their campaign. I have no problem with what he did, and I actually applaud him for making it public and warning parents when he could easily have kept the entire matter quiet.
