Why is it that every time the Trail Blazers pick 1st or 2nd on the draft, they ended up taking a BUST?
Here are the 1st and 2nd picks of the Portland Trail Blazers since the 1972 Draft.
1972 – LaRue Martin (1st pick) bust
1974 – Bill Walton (1st pick) Good
1978 – Mychal Thompson (1st pick) decent
1984 – Sam Bowie (2nd pick) bust
2007 – Greg Oden (1st pick) injury prone - soon to be a bust
Is the Blazers cursed? cause every time they get the 1st or the 2nd pick on the draft (with the exception of Bill Walton), they ended up drafting a bust player.

The reason why I called Oden a "Soon to be Bust" is because when he injured his Microfracture in 2007, he got injured again on his foot and left knee last season thus missing 21 games. And because of these injuries, he tends to move and run slower even at his young age.

Bad management. They need a talent scout like Jerry West to pick up true ballers at #13 such as Kobe.
Mostly bad luck also, they believed all the overhype and they got screwed.
And why is Oden a bust? Cause he's slow and clumsy and has slow reactions. He is already going to be a bust. Alot of first and second picks are though, look at Morisson, some players that are stars in college are only good enough to be good roleplayers in the NBA.

Im sure the Trail Brazers aren't the only team who has drafted busts with a #1 pick.
And gee, after a half season you are calling Greg Oden a bust. Give him some time. In a couple years he will be a top center on a very good Blazers team.

bill walton is a hall of famer. mychal did what he was good at. greg oden has only played one season in the nba. Greg Oden and Andrew Bynum gonna represent the West centers real good for the next 5 or 6 years.

soon to be? says who? Oden xould be MIP next season when hes out the leage then hes a bust. quit rushing life son.
hes far from a bust. will be a solid center i think his whole career. if he never got hurt WHO KNOWS. his 1st season nu hate the guy. hewas hurt half the time.
