Time Traveler's Wife book questions about plot?
Just finished reading the book but I'm confused about a few plot points. If you have read this book and understand/know the answers, please share them with me! If you've NOT read the book (or seen the movie), then be warned, SPOILERS.
1. How does Henry continue to time travel in the past after he's died in the present/future?
2. In the end when Clare tells Charisse that Henry's coming back Aug 29th, what does that mean? It never goes over that scene.
3. Henry tells the time travelling Alba that he doesn't know why he can't go into the future to see mama, but then he does when she's 82. I don't get that. So he can, but just that once? Or is it possible he'll continue to pop back into her life in the future after that?
4. When Henry pops into the future and sees Alba as an older girl at a museum and she's answering questions, they call Clare on the phone and she comes but he vanishes right as she sees him. So is this the Aug 29th date? And does this mean he sees her just the two times after he's died?
5. When he sees her in the future at 82, he has feet it appears. So now when he's travelling he has his feet back? Or is it the Henry before he has his feet amputated?

I've read the book, so I'll do my best with your questions.
***SPOILER ALERT - DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE***
1. He doesn't travel after he's died. It was Henry, from the past and while he was still alive, traveling to the future. That means those in the future, after Henry's death, who see him are seeing some of Henry's traveling while still alive.
2. You are never shown this visit in which he and Alba see each other. Do you remember towards the beginning how you are told Henry had given Clare a list of dates when she would see him? I took this August 29th date to be on the same order, only this time it is for Alba. So, before he died, Henry gave Clare a list of some dates he would be visiting Alba, so his daughter could look forward to those times.
3. I'm not exactly sure why, but I took it to mean he was able to visit Clare near the end of her life. This is just an impression I had. It probably had to do with Clare being unable to see Henry after his death. The one thing that draws him to her, for a true visit, seems likely to be the end of her life. She doesn't go into it, so this is just surmise.
Audrey Niffenegger doesn't actually explain why he usually didn't visit Clare in the future. Near the end of the book, Clare is questioning why only Alba, and never she, can see Henry. So my assumption was she had a brief glimpse of him that day at the museum and later when Henry visited the 82-year-old Clare, specifically, but at no other time.
Perhaps it had to do with only being able to visit his family, meaning Clare and Alba, at times in their lives when he would have an impact on those lives. For Clare, after Henry died, he wouldn't be able to guide and influence her life positively as he did when she was a child. Instead, for Clare it would only bring temporary joy and crushing despair when he disappeared again. It would also have a negative effect, in that she would never be able to move forward in her life if she was only living for the days when she would see him again. This way, though she wasn't able to entirely move forward, she could at least live for Alba and her friends. He could guide and influence Alba, however. It brought her joy to see her father, but didn't stop her from living her life. Does this make sense? These thoughts formed some of the basis of why I considered that one true visit to Clare at 82 allowable only because her life was, then, just about over.
4. No, seeing Alba at the museum was in November, not August 29. Yes, I think that is exactly what it means: Clare only sees Henry two times after his death. One was the glimpse, the other was the actual visit to her.
5. Henry has feet, because it was Henry traveling from the time before his feet had to be amputated. It's not that Henry's feet came back when traveling. You know that because of his death; he was unable to move away from the danger, as he had no feet with which to move.
