Matt Holliday a Cardinal!!?

I think its an upgrade over Ludwick, Ankeil, and Rasmus for sure.

The Cards did have to give up one of their blue chip prospects in Wallace BUT he was a 1st baseman which was a problem because some guy named Pujols is blocking him. So even though they gave up a very good prospect this deal makes them better now.

But as somebody said above if they don't win the WS or sign him to a long time deal it will be all for not. In other words a waste.

And the guy who said he hasn't done anything since moving from Coors Field(Rockies Stadium) is dumb. He moved to HUGE park in Oakland with no protection which explains his down numbers. Believe me Im a Dodger fan and Ive seen him hit on multiple occasions and this guy can rake. Holliday is one of only 2 guys Ive seen hti a ball out of Dodger Stadium. He hit it so hard it went over the bullpen in LF and hit a palm tree. The other was Chris Duncan the former Cardinal.

So anyway, this is a good deal for the Cards. And once Derossa comes back or if he comes back from his injury they the Cards lineup is going to be trouble.

i personally think that that now pujols has some more help ... seeing as he was carryin the cards on his back

but hopefully it dusn ruin the amazing triple crown season pujols is having.

however holliday hasn't been amazing with the A's this season .. that might be a problem for the cardinals

but on the bright side, he has hit 3 homers and 11 RBIs in the past 8 games afta all star weekend, giving him a good run to help the cardinals

Since he hasn't had a good season since leaving the Rockies, I'm not so sure it's such a big deal.

unless the cardinals sign him or win the world series, they got raped by billy beane by giving up wallace. stupid trade in my opinion
