Will a dealership install power windows and locks on my car?
I just brought a 2007 chevy cobalt from a dealership about a month ago, I do have a 4 year warranty on it if that matters, I knew it didn't have power locks nor power windows, but at the time it didn't matter to me. Now however I have the car and would prefer power locks and power windows!! If you don't think they will how much will it cost to by both and have someone install them? Thanks in advance.

There are so many things that have to change, the cost would be way too expensive. I could easily see the job costing several thousand dollars; most of the cost is going to be labor. Parts cost will also be significant, as there will be a lot of parts from window and locking motors, switches, and trim panels for the new switches.
I would not recommend this. There is a high possibility that other problems will be created as a result of the large amount of dis-assembly that will be required. It could end up being a huge time sink for you besides being expensive.

Adding power windows and locks to a standard door is very time consuming and expensive. It might be cheaper to just buy the doors from a junk yard and install them. You would still have to have the doors wired to the electrical system. And painted, if you could not find doors the same color as your car. But after all that work and money, you might loose your 4 year warranty. I would recommend just driving it the way it is, and when you trade it in, get the power accessories that you want. Now, there are after market power lock add on kits, but they will run several hundred dollars to buy and install. I would recommend spending that money on gas. Remember to change your oil regularly, and you should have many good miles of driving.

It will cost you greatly in mental distress! If you do happen to get them working properly, it may not last that long! And most likely, no warranty to back it up. Buy a real Jeep.

i wouldn't recomend it if you really want it done ask other shops around town the dealer is always the most expensive place to buy parts or have work done.
