What will you take away from the "teachable moment" Obama is talking about?

What would you like everyone to learn from our "teachable moment" Obama speaks about?

I would like all of the blacks to know just because something gad happens to you doesn't mean that is racism.

I would like blacks to unite against affirmative action.

You can't be for affirmative action if you are against racism.

I have a dream that one day we will all be judged by the content of our character and not the color of our skin.

His answer to this question "taught" me a lot about our president. Reverend Wright must be so proud. I guess Sean Hannity was right about this guy all along.

That the cops should know when they violate first amendment rights and that the professor should respect everyone, even if he is exhausted from returning from China.

He should have taken his cane and sat down on the stoop and chatted with the police officer.

But the other moment is that Obama is the greater man for finding common ground. The officer couldn't do that for some reason.

    He needs sensitivity lessons.

What I take away is that somewhere the Almighty Teleprompter came to him and slapped him on the back of the hand and said, "NAUGHTY NAUGHTY! You spoke without consulting ME first! You will be punished! This is YOUR Teachable moment!"

Republican from before she was born... and PROUD of it.

we should learn how to find common ground and talk about our problems in a spirit of brotherhood.

It's NOT O.K. to arrest a man in his own house after he shows you not one, but TWO forms of Identification.

it's obvious that the professor didn't break into his own house. Once that fact was established that cop should have went on his merry way.

bkosmo2: What an intelligent person you seem to be. I wish more people thought the way you do, then there would be no more of this kind of unnecessary conflict in our nation. We could spend our energy on better and more constructive things.

I knew that would set off the ignorant conservative whites when he used the word "teachable". No way they would ever learn anything meaningful from black people or their experience in this country.
