Can pedialyte cause constipation in dogs?

My dog had gotten extremely sick, and so I was feeding her 50/50 of pedialyte and water, and I'm wondering if it can make her constipated? Were hoping for her to go #2 by tonight, but I'm wondering if pedialyte can hold up this wishful thinking. I'm just worried because if she doesn't go then she has to go in for xrays and possibly have surgery, because were thinking the rawhide bone she ate may be blocking her intestines.

Any advice please?

Yes, she has went to the vet and we did blood work, and has not shown any signs of abdominal pain or anything. Her appetite is the same as it usually is,and so the vet and I decided that if she doesn't go #2 by tonight then she will go back in tomorrow for x-rays. But right now she has been acting normal as far as everything goes besides her going #2.

Unfortunately, no, if anything, the Pedialyte will help keep her regular.

She needs to go in, sorry.

Not that I've heard of, no, but extreme dehydration could cause it.

Best of luck to you. Has your dog seen a vet yet? If not, why not?

Try some mineral oil to help her go poop. Then a vet visit if it doesn't happen.
