Australia has had distant places born leaders in government forward of now, and little question will returned. Julia Gillard became born in Wales. We had a former top Minister (the call escapes me now) who became born in Chile. the previous chief (and present day opposition chief) of the recent South Wales parliament became American born (Ms Kenneally). you do no longer must be born in Australia to steer our government, yet you do must be an Australian citizen.

I've always thought Aussies and Americans had similar views on independence and self reliance, blah, blah, blah.

No other nation on this planet has such warped views on 'independence and self reliance' as some Americans have.
