I am 41 years old and want to run away from home, does anyone else ever feel this way?
Homelife sucks eggs, kids are mostly grown, job nothing to cheer about, no family or long time friends to hold me to the town I live in. Somebody please tell me something that makes running away seem like a BAD idea instead of my salvation.

I'm 41, divorced a second time, have no reason to sit where I'm sitting, but I'm sitting. I have no reason why. It gets WAY too cold in the winter and way too hot in the summer. Every day I just fight not to just pack a bag, throw it over my shoulder, and follow this old rail line south. Even leave my vehicle. Just walk. Leave my accounts where they are, my debt where it is, everything. Leave it. It's like a screaming in my head. I don't know what makes me sit here.

Running away from home won't solve anything, it just removes you from it, the problems you have will still be in your head.
Although running away may work for you. If you have nothing to tie you to the situation you're in, why not?
You shouldn't spend your life being unhappy. Too much wasted time you'll never get back. Sometimes taking a chance can be a good thing.

Bill Gates Rules:
1. If you mess up, it’s not your parent’s fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes. Learn from them.
2. Small jobs are not beneath you. Those who came before you call them opportunity.
3. If you thought your teacher was tough, wait till you get a boss.
4. You will not make a million a year and you want to be the boss, till you earn both.
5. The world doesn’t care about your self esteem; the world expects you to accomplish something before you feel good about yourself.
6. Life isn’t fair, so treat every kindness you received as a treasure, because it’s a gift.
When the world pushes you to your knees, you’re in the perfect position to pray.
Sunrise marks God’s message of peace, love and hope. While sunset stands for His grace. May you always have the best in between these two beautiful moments.
Blessings are poured on people who love to share and live their lives with loving kindness and thoughtfulness to others.
The joy of life comes from the wisdom of counting our blessings, never our troubles.
Rules for living:
If you open it, close it.
If you turn it on, turn it off.
If you unlock it, lock it up.
If you break it, admit it.
If you borrow it, return it.
If you value it, take care of it.
If you make a mess, clean it up.
If you move it, put it back.
If it belongs to somebody else and you want to use it, get permission.
If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone.
Money:
It can buy a house but not a home.
It can buy a clock but not time.
It can buy a book but not knowledge.
It can buy position but not respect.
It can buy medicine but not health.
It can buy blood but not life.
A woman is the most beautiful creation of God:
You can feel her innocence in the form of a daughter.
You can feel her care in the form of a sister.
You can feel her warmth in the form of a friend.
You can feel her passion in the form of a lover.
You can feel her dedication in the form of a wife.
You can feel her divinity in the form of a mother.
You can see the blessings in the form of a grandmother.
Her body is so tender yet so strong.
It is in loving, not in being loved, the heart is blessed. It is in giving, not in seeking, that we find our quest.
Let’s never regret a day in our life. Good day gives us happiness. Bad day gives us experience. Both are essential to life, both are blessings.
Simple things in life are what makes us complete. These are the songs we sing, dreams we pursue, love that we share and the friends that we care.
Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without feeling better or happier. Remember, you are the expression of God’s kindness.

No, I'm sorry, once your kids go to college or leave the house I suspect you'll travel the world and see the sights you never saw in your younger days. Because there is literally no reason to have kids and care for them except for that maternal instinct and obligation which seems to be gone for you. And until then, you have your lawful obligation to see them through life

My mom is 43 years old and she says the same thing, so your not alone. Sometimes you just want to be by yourself and get away from it all, I have the same feeling sometimes but I am too young to know about that since I am 17.

honey you need to stay home just because you have a bad job and your kids are mostly grown doesnt mean anything you need to stay at your house and if you want to apply for a different job because if your kids are all moved out and they want to send you a letter where are they gonna send it to listen to somebody who knows stay and who knows maybe you'll win the lottery if you stay or something
