easy ways to decorate a dorm room?

go to walmart and buy some fabric on the $2 stand and color coordinate a bunch of stuff...

cover a corkboard

cover photo frames

cover the back of your chair

go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of color coordinating pens, pencils, storage containers, file folders, and notepads and put them on your desk

buy a rug from walmart for like $15 in a bright color

buy a bunch of posters, or just make a really cool photo wall with tons of pics

mix solid fabrics with, stripes, etc.

pick 2 main colors and go with it....black & red...black&white, blue & green, etc.

Dorm rooms are small to begin with and the more things you buy for it the smaller it will get. When I was dorming at college, my roommates and I split a storage unit and put a bunch of the stuff we didn't need at the time in there. It worked out very well for us. cheap throw pillows, art work, unique lighting. Defiantly with fabrics fool around and make some things your own

well , take you bedding and maybe a lamp or picture frame or two and that would help a lot . there's also usually cork boards so decorate with pictures . (:
