How do you make an SD card bootable on Vista?

Update:

Edit: I thought there were certain procedures I had to set up besides the normal set BIOS to boot from drive thing..

Most modern motherboard can boot from a USB flash drive because it can recognize the USB flash drive as an external removable drive

I don't think BIOS can recognize your SD card as a bootable medium though.

    [Edit]

Try booting from your SD card using a SD-to-USB adapter

See if your BIOS recognizes it as a bootable medium

It's the hardware, not Vista, that you need to set-up:

Have you got the SD card slot in the BIOS boot sequence?

If not, when you switch on, you need to interrupt the normal boot-up by hitting (normally) one of the function keys. If you're quick you might see a message telling you which key to hit. Otherwise trial-and-error or search online including your make of PC.

Once you're in the BIOS it's quite obvious what you need to do.
