In your opinion what was the most influential Rock Album?
Elvis Presley (1956)
The King's first album was also the first example of how to cash in on a teenage craze. With Presleymania at full tilt, RCA simultaneously released a single, a four-track EP and an album, all with the same cover of Elvis in full, demented cry. They got their first million dollar album, the fans got a mix of rock-outs like 'Blue Suede Shoes', lascivious R&B and syrupy ballads
Without this ... no King, no rock and roll madness, no Beatles first album, no pop sex symbols. (Source The Observe, Culture Club)

i will disagree with you on this one and i will choose pink floyd, the wall.
Elvis's progression as the king of pop was do in high part because of the closeness of the delta blues and blues in general and more with the antics of his stage presence than anything else, thus you will note the crazy dance moves that elvis does as more evidence of his popularity because it had people talking and thus the media started investigating him.
as with PF's the wall it was probably the first and only rock album to have a world wide influence on young people that it would be banned in south africa because of the strong lyrics.other artist to consider in that era that are more influential are buddy holly, chuck berry, chet atkins .
and in closing i find elvis more of a showman than a true musical artist.

Most music was built on what came before, so you can say that since Elvis came before the Beatles he was more important. I think the most influential album is Sgt. Pepper - it changed the way albums were put together forever. Interesting question! :)

that is such a generalized question. Rock has so many sub-genres!
This answer depends on what genre you specifically want.
But I agree, without Paranoid there would be no Metal, or subgenre of it, so I would say either Paranoid or Sgt. Peppers for overall most influential album ever.

Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon".
Dark Side of the Moon is often considered to be the group’s defining work, and is still frequently ranked by music critics as one of the greatest and most influential albums of all time.
