Most schools do not offer pre-med as a major. You'll major in a science most likely. However, you are free to choose whatever major interest you. If you want to major in dance then do so. Your major does not affect your chance of getting into med school. In fact med schools like to see well rounded students. I'm pre-med but a creative writing major. What you'll do if you don't major in a science is take your pre-med courses as electives. I personally think it's a better idea to pick a major you're interested in simply because you'll do better in classes you like and GPA is very important. If you're not good in math but become a science major you might end up with bad grades. But if you look writing like me then you won't have to take any extra math course that will negatively effect your GPA. Another reason to pick a major you're interested in is to prepare for if you don't go to med school. You'll want something to fall back on. If you major in chemistry and the only thing you want to do is med school but don't go, you'll be stuck with career options you don't like.
College is a time for you to pursue your interest. Med schools encourage you to do so, so do. Don't limit your options. So long as you do all your med school prep work on the side you'll be fine no matter what major, be it Chemistry or Pottery, you choose.
Edit: You don't transfer to med school. You have to apply the same way you have to for college. As for good schools, do your research. For high school just take your normal classes. What you take now won't really effect your med school plans, jus t how prepared you are for college courses. AP classes and dual enrollment will do wonders to prepare you.

In college you'll be a pre-med major. When you're done with the prerequisites, you'll transfer out to medical school. Take a lot of science, math, and social science. Just to get you ready.
**P.S. Make sure you take a foreign language. Preferably, Spanish. Since most employers want people who speak/understand Spanish.
