What do you think of this painting?

Congratulations on your 1st place win!

I remember making a model of the our solar system that won 1st palce and it was awesome.

Affirmations:

I like the birds a lot as well. I like that it is a simple painting. I hope that you don't "simple" in the wrong way. What I mean is that it is very pleasant to look at, and I think that is what I like about it most of all. I get several feelings when I look at it. I get a sense of the openness of the space that you painted this image from. I also feel loneliness. The birds being the only life in the image brings that out I think. I get a good sense of movement from them and they seem very real.

Questions:

Where is this painting of? Is it a rendering of place that you know or is this out of your imagination?

Critique:

I would like to see more color and more color variation. I think that was the only thing that I felt that I wanted more out the picture. Like I said, I really enjoy that this painting evoked several feelings, and I think that more vibrant colors would have gave just a little push. I just want to say that my comments on color are just my tastes and what I like to see. I think that art is different to everyone and peoples preferences will change with every one that you ask.

All and all, I like your painting. Good Job! Enjoy that 1st place. you said that this was your first painting and I hope that it isn't your last

i like it..its very good for your first painting. i like the clouds and the birds too. i would have liked if you showed more detail. i agree with your art teacher, it is different. but in a good way :)

I love how you did your clouds :) tho you could blend the colors a little more >.<

I like the way you've done the shadows and how they rather dominate things.
