TUCKS pads help...
so does a diet change, even if just temporary, also eat yogurt, and cut down on salt, and hot/spicy foods
add rice to your diet too
these things have made a fantastic difference for me.

you may need to go to the doctor if it's hanging like you said....in the meantime...take you a warm bath and get some preperation H ointment and apply it. it'll help with the pain, itching and swelling until you can go to the doctor.
