Classical Greek evolved over the years so that Modern Greek is now very different.
Aramaic is basically an ancient language - from around the area of Syria - although there are still some speakers scattered around the region today.

Greek obviously is a modern language, but so is Aramaic. There are still a few speakers left in the middle east, although obviously it's not exactly the same language that was spoken at the time of the New Testament.

I cannot speak for Aramaic, but Greek is both modern and ancient.
As an example of how words have changed:
[tim-eh] Ïιμαι = honour (ancient)
[tim-ee] Ïιμή = honour (modern).
Furthermore, modern Greek has introduced lower-case letters and spaces between words and has been influence by French and Turkish, mostly. With small influences from other languages, including English.

As far as I know,Greek has 2 variants -- modern & ancient.
Aramaic is a dead language.Nobody speaks it now.
But I'm not sure about the second one, maybe I'm wrong.
Hope it helps you a bit.
