As long as this is a deep bench position (meaning you're not counting on a whole lot from the guy, because you shouldn't be!) I'd go with Smith, mainly because he's the only one locked into a starting role, and will probably play slot in 3 WR sets, so he'll be on the field getting looks.

But he's hardly Plax, so keep expectations in line!

It depends on the league. I'd go with Smith in PPR and Hixon or Nicks in standard scoring (I'd rate Hixon higher than Nicks) based on last year's numbers. Smith had more receptions last year and probably will this year too, but Hixon had a better yards/reception avg an 1 more TD. I see Smith playing the "Toomer" role this year and Hixon playing the "Burress" role out side the 20. I think the Giants will mostly utilize Nicks (6'1", 210), and/or Barden (6'6", 227), as mismatches on goal-line and 3rd down.

I would have to say Nicks. He was the first round pick for the Giants and he and Smith will be in a competition for the #1 WR spot on the depth chart so either Smith or Nicks but with Plax and Toomer i dont think it would really matter which one you pick. Just not Hixon
