Why do I get linked to advertisement sites from Google?

I Googled "IGN" and went to IGN's main site. That worked fine. Then I went back and went to IGN's Xbox 360 site and got linked to some random video site, and some site trying to sell me anti-spyware stuff. Now, why the heck is this happening? 2/3 of the links I've tried on Google send me to these BS sites! Ixquick doesn't do this to me... Can anyone help?

A virus/trojan has gotten into your system and

    installed a browser hijacker.

I suggest you run a scan with malwarebytes .

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    you can get malwarebytes here,

this is a direct download link

so you should have no trouble getting it.

click on this link ↓ and then select run.

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/affiliates/2-spyware/m...

INSTALL IT TO YOUR DESKTOP, update it,

then run a full scan and remove everything it finds.

some viruses will try to disable it

so if malwarebytes will not start up

then go into the folder it is in and rename the mbam file to XXXX .exe

then double click on the file you just renamed to start it up.

after you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan.

to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.

preferably in safe mode with networking.

A new breed of trojans hijacks computers and re-directs search results away from Google, Yahoo and MSN to rogue websites where more trouble awaits. You need to update your antivirus and run a full scan to remove the infection. Note that these new trojans may have already disabled your existing antivirus, so if all else fails I suggest that you run a SpyNoMore scan from the link below:

firstly in case you're utilising cyber web explorer, try firefox and spot if that removes the concern. 2d of all what courses have you ever tried to do away with it with? 0.33 of all.... why use living house windows? Ubuntu Linux on no account has those issues. .... it relatively is weird and wonderful that Firefox and Opera could the two have the concern to boot... it is likewise weird and wonderful that secret agent ware terminator did not seize it... you ought to attempt spybot, and probably Comodo BOClean (it relatively is real-time in simple terms) in any different case i don't comprehend..
