This is the only one but as stated above lots of rumors. There was positive news about % homes sold for june and if that continues there should not be a need for another first time home buyers credit. Now if sales fall against expectations still overflowed with homes then there maybe a new one. If It was up to me I would really make it work to take advantage of this program

As of now, No. This one ends on 11/30/09 and there are no others after that but that could change.

No, you can not use it as a down payment. You have to close on the house before you can get the credit.

Uh, no one on the internets can predict the future.

The whole point of the stimulus was to get people buying homes NOW, not later. I haven't heard of any extension and Congress will be recessing soon, so I wouldn't bet on the same deal being offered next year. However, you never know. Real estate lobbyists are certainly trying to get something passed.

BTW, FHA has a program that allows buyers to apply their $8k towards their closing. You might want to consider that option.

At present, there is no tax credit after 12/01/09. Congress may extend it, but no one knows.

Currently, there is NOTHING on the books after 12/1/09. There are plenty of rumors, but don't bet the farm on there being anything.

You will only know if and when they renew the current program, or decide to implement a different one. Meanwhile, THIS program is the only one in existence, and it expires November 30 of this year.
