You can take her to a nice restaurant in the North End. STREGA and FIORE are really good. If you want to spend a little less, try MASSIMINO'S. It's just as good, but on the outskirts of the North End. BRICCO is also cool. I've only been there for drinks, but hear the food is great.

You can also try THE MELTING POT. It's a really cool fondue restaurant in the Park Plaza. There's also locations in Burlington and Framingham. http://meltingpot.com/
I also really like SALVATORE'S in the Seaport district. Great food. Has a North End feel to it. http://www.salvatoresboston.com/
Or you can try a really nice steakhouse if you want to splurge. I highly recommend Sorellina. You can also try Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, or Mortons. http://www.sorellinaboston.com/

I would tailor this celebration to her tastes and interests; the ICA is a fun space if she's into art; I'm not a huge modern art fan but was so impressed by this space and a film we saw on the design for the space; there are several nice restaurants and bars nearby in the area; (new Intercontinental has a Tequila bar if you're of age;) the view of the city from the Logan Airport Hyatt restaurant/patio is surprisingly nice; you could get a drink and app. there and survey the cityscape; the IMAX theaters can be fun if you find a movie that would interest both of you; if she loves the designer shopping you could plan something around Newbury Street; for a steakhouse, we love Grille 23; it's quieter for dinner then you could move onto a club;

Actually there isn't a fun place in Boston to celebrate. Not a single one. Which is why I moved away years ago. Not a city, just a couple of sports teams with a bunch of slow-witted people living around them.

Vox is cool on Boylston. It is a restaurant with a patio, but at night it turns into a club sort of..well on the weekends at least. They also have cool cocktails if you are old enough to drink!
