My Dog is acting weird, im a little worried?
Ok so I came home today after shopping from groceries and when i walked in the door there was garbage ALL OVER the floor. and ceasar (my dog) was nibbling on the bag. He has never eatin the garbage before (and i had him 13 years). Also, yesterday when he was outside, it started pouring rain and he would not come in! he just sat there and took a nap....in the rain! I also noticed he isnt eating as much as he usually does.
Why is he acting so weird? should i see the vet about this?

Hi James.
Would be a good idea to take him in for a Vet check. He could have a medical issue. The first thing that came to mind is CDS, which is basically the same as Alzheimers in people. This is treatable. Your Vet can give you a professional opinion / diagnosis.
best of luck,

Take him to the vet. If he is a larger dog, he is nearing the end of his life expectancy. He could be starting to have neurological trouble. I would take him to the vet to find out what exactly is going on with him. He may have had a stoke that affected a part of his brain or he may be developing dementia.

My Siberian Husky licks anything.. carpet, the couch, glass it doesnt matter, she'll lick it. The reason may be if something had dropped on there in the past, food or drink she might be tasting that. Animals eat grass because it helps them throw up hairballs, or if their stomach is upset, and need to throw it up. It's nothing to get freaked out about.. instead of paying to go see the vet, just call them and talk to one before spending the money for them to tell you they're fine!

dogs getting into the garbage is normal. sitting out in the rain is not, was it hot in the house. i certainly would not panic yet tho
