"Sound judgment not based on specialized knowledge; native good judgment"-common sense. Any thing can be learned from a book, but it depends on how the person perceives the information. Mostly, the person that has never experienced any sort of common sense in his/her life wouldn't likely to realize its meaning from a simple book. They have to go through some sort of social interaction with it in order to fully acknowledge its meaning. Commense sense is just similar to the teachings of classical conditioning in which the person fully learns through repetitive behavior.
