They are less than 1cm across and quite slow flying. They are a light silvery brown colour. They seem to fly around during the evening/night. You will also notice where the eggs have been laid because that area will be nibbled and there will be remanents of their pupal cases.
You can try and deal with them yourself by:
thoroughly vacuuming carpets and curtains
wahing or dry cleaning suspect clothes
using insecticde sprays and papers (seek advice about which)
steam clean suspicious areas
If all this fails then call in a specialist pest exterminator.

They lay eggs in your clothes and little caterpillars eat wool, cotton and linen. So the first thing you find is holes in your clothes. They don't eat silk or man-made fibres.
