Does anyone know a good tick repellent?
I am looking for a tick repellent, but not one that is a spray or anything that has to be applied to skin or clothes... Im looking for one for an area, the apartment complex i live in has a lot of ticks in the area, so i wanted to hang like a tick repellent lantern or something along those lines outside the door. Anyone know of one?

That would be a great money making idea. But, since ticks travel by attaching themselves to warm-blooded hosts (such as humans or animals) try spraying yourself with white vinegar on your feet and legs before you go out. A spay bottle works great. And also, I like to spray white vinegar with a portable garden sprayer all over my carpets - allow to dry and then vacuum. It keeps the house smelling fresh, too.

sorry to tell you this but the best way is to spray the infected area. you might not want to but it is the easiest and best way. dont mess around those are nasty little bastards. they can carry lime disease that is paralyzing they can also spread blood born diseases. you can also tell the apartment manager if he does nothing call the housing athority.they will make him fix the problem

Tics hang out in long grass and as you walk by they jump or hang onto you. The easiest and cheapest way is to cut your grass and tuck your pants leg into your sock as you are cutting it.

Well, bleach dryer sheets or whatever help keep bugs away. Ticks, mosquitoes, etc. If you put that in your pocket or on the outside of your house, it will keep them away.
