How can I become a pharmacist?

I already have a college degree in Business but would like to get my Masters and would like to ultimately become a pharmacist. Do I have to go back through undergrad work?

Update:

I am in the US. Thanks!

Pharmacy school requires pre-requisite courses (i.e. Chemistry, Microbiology, etc). Unfortunently, most pharmacy schools have different required pre-requsits. So you may want to find a handful of Pharmacy schools that you would like to apply to and get a list of their pre-requisite courses. From there all you need to do is go to a local community college (b/c it'll be cheaper) and just take those courses. Once you are done, you will be eligible to apply to the Pharmacy schoools. Good luck!

You will have to pass an entrance exam to get into any pharmacy program. If you do not have the courses necessary, you will need remedial classes to being yourself up to standard.

Someone suggested you take pre-pharmacy course in community college. Better check with your intended Schools of Pharmacy first. Some do not recognize pre-pharmacy courses taken in community college.

depends on the school. in Canada, no matter what your educational background you have to go through their undergrad program. you need to pass an entrance exam etc. in the states it might be different.
