Did Al Gore and the Club Of Rome fabricate global warming?
The Club of Rome may have come up with the idea of global warming to effect social change.
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill."
and...
"Democracy has failed us, a new system of global governance, based on environmental imperatives, must be implemented quickly..."
What are your thoughts?
Dawei: Take a peek at the link, if you're capable.
pegminer: the article presents a view on how the CoR may have used the global warming theory for other means.
Never said I believe it, just looking for some thoughts. If, like Dawei you can't find the link then don't comment, easy as that.
Rawr!leo: did I miss something? What is it that's already proven?

As Alex Jones would say :"New World Order!"

It certainly would explain a lot.
However, I get the feeling that the gassists really believe in their stance and the science. So technically, that wouldn't make it a conspiracy theory just really bad judgement. On the other hand, human nature being what it is, if you had some other previous set of beliefs and a hypothesis came along that fit right in with them, you'd tend to go along with it quite easily.

Do people really believe this garbage? You might want to look up at the names John Tyndall and Guy Callendar and find out what they had to do with the Club of Rome or Al Gore.
EDIT: Why do I care what the Club of Rome has to say about it? Frankly, I don't go to non-science groups for my science, you shouldn't either. If you understand the science then it won't matter if some non-science group, like the Club of Rome or the Republican Party or the Catholic Church tries to politicize an issue--because you will understand the science.
YOUR question is about whether the Club of Rome fabricated it. My answer is no, people knew about the science long before the Club of Rome got involved. Perhaps you should have phrased your question differently, like whether the Club of Rome uses fabrications or has exploited the issue. Suggesting they fabricated it just smacks of ignorance of the issue.

The convoluted mind of the conspiracy theorist never ceases to amaze.
Just imagine for a second that AGW is not a scam--can't you imagine that there would still be nutjobs out there putting forth these theories? Even if it is a real issue? Is it REALLY that surprising that there are conspiracy theories out there for global warming?
By the way, the US government was not responsible for 9/11. It was Lee Harvey Oswald's son who did it, under the command of the still existing Soviet Union in order to distract the public from newly surfacing evidence about the moon landing hoax. Didn't you ever notice that the hammer and sickle of the Soviet flag looks kind of like a 9 and a 1?

I don't know if it was the Club Of Rome, but Al Gore didn't invent it. He just found it, then found how to get rich from it.

Was Svante Arrhenius, the 19th century chemist who more or less first developed the theory of man-made global warming, privy to this conspiracy plot?

We politicized the weather. Utterly ingenious!
