registration papers for quarter horse?
i am about to transfer my quarter horses papers into my name. she is a 3yr old and her papers have a picture of her at 3 months. should i send a recent pic to update or leave it as it is?

Unless her markings have changed...I would leave it as it is...
Every one of my horses has pictures on their papers from when they were younger... the purpose of the picture is to identify markings clearly...The picture on the actual papers is simplely for looks...the AQHA has other pictures on file that show all markings your horse has and can be used to identify it...
I wouldn't bother with changing the picture personally...

Its not necessary but updating the pics looks nice on the papers. Make sure you pull back the forelock before taking the front pic. Good luck

I would send an updated picture. If you have a grey or an appy you should probably update the description of the markings or color periodically.

i'm not sure approximately AQHA, yet different breed registries require the stallion proprietor to tell the registry of pending foals earlier the foal is born. If the foal replaced into an entire marvel, it ought to no longer have ever been registered.

call the aqha, but i think you need 5 pictures, and they do have to be current.
