What happened to tradition?

I do wonder why couldn't they just wear the normal guard hats? Why must society always change to accept some foreign culture?

Western culture has set the bar for freedom and economic growth, there is nothing wrong with it. But perhaps there is a reason for it someone can present here?

Absolutely appalling. It's Britain, not India. Do soldiers in India have the option to wear their national dress, or what ever kind of head gear they choose? If you were a jew in the Indian army would you be allowed to wear a Kippah?
