Help, Comparing Cruises?

I am deciding between two Royal Caribbean cruises for my 16th birthday. Each is a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise, but they port in different places. Which sounds better?

-San Juan, Puerto Rico; Willemstad, Curacao; Oranjestad, Aruba; Roseau, Dominica; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; San Juan, Puerto Rico

-San Juan, Puerto Rico; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John's, Antigua; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands; San Juan, Puerto Rico

Thank you!

Ooohh nice. Have you cruised before? Where have you been?

For me I've never been to Curacao so that would rate on that ship. I have been to Aruba and it was very nice. Dominica is horrible. Nothing to do and every shore excursion was actually the exact same shore excursion so all 2,000 of us were on the same trail to the same waterfall. St Thomas is amazing. One of my favorite ports of call and a shopping haven, though I have been there several several times.

Barbados was beautiful. It had lots of shore excursions that caught my eye. The people there were wonderful. I've never been to St Lucia or Antigua so that would rank as it's a new port for me. St Maarten is nice. Very small--you can circle the whole island while you are in port. St Croix is very nice as well. Very natural.

For me personally I'd say the 2nd one. First off it goes to 2 ports I've never been to before. Plus it goes to one additional port than the other one. I liked Barbados better than Aruba. Dominica was my least favorite port of call of all the ones I've ever been in--well that or Freeport Bahamas. So the 2nd one has better spots, more ports, and contains some I've never been to before.

Write me and let me know what cruise you are going on and when. I might want to go on that one too. =)

I say the second one. I've been to San Juan, Barbados, St. John's, St. Croix, and they were all fabulous. On the other hand, St. Thomas is absolutely gorgeous, but can be unsafe at night and expensive in some areas.

I do not believe age has anything to do with it. All cruise lines today try to offer you the best vacation for your money. Yes they all offer activities for people of all ages and try different things to get every one involved but, for me it comes down to each persons taste. I think the question should be What to you Expect from your cruise? They all have restaurants, pools, spa's,most have casino's etc. But, is one going for the cruise experience or the ports of call or just to escape winter? I have sailed with Holland, Norwegian & Princess & yes there is a difference however I look at it like this as long as I have a place tp sleep, eat. a ship that gets me to where I am going then I am happy. Everyone has their own list. But, also remember you CAN NOT please everyone. ENJOY.

Both those groupings are excellent! To me the choice would come down to sailing date and cabin catagory. Both sound like winners!
