What are public toilets in New York like?

They are few and far between and kinda grotty.

For example, New York City, with a land area of 831 sq km, has 1178 public toilets, as opposed to Singapore, which is 650 sq km and has 29,500 public toilets!

So, most folks use restrooms in shops or restaurants or hotel lobbies instead (if they'll let you), as they're much nicer.

There are public restrooms and portable restrooms in New York City.

In New York City subway, major stations has restroom, however it is very dirty.

In parks, restrooms are either dirty or less clean.

In Governors Island, I use restroom on waiting area because portable toilets are always disguising.

Most clean restrooms are located inside fantasy restraunt, bookstores or shopping malls/stores.

Fast food restraunts can either clean, dirty, medium.

On the train, Long Island Railroad does not offer good restroom because they are always filthy. Most clean restroom is on Metro-North Railroad.

Grand Central restroom, and New York Penn Station's New Jersey Transit or Amtrak restrooms are much better than Long Island Railroad.

Port Authority Bus Terminals and all airports has clean restroom except for George Washington Bridge Bus Station.

The one which i went into were clean especially in Bryton park, they had flowers on top of the toilet.
