Is a guy hugging another guy weird?

Wow, I'm not alone. I give all my male friends hugs. Makes me feel better or I'm showing how much they mean to me (not in a gay way). I'm not gay though, I have a sexy and wonderful girlfriend. The only reason it's weird is because of the times we're in. If you hugged a guy back then, no one would think nothing of it.

I believe that hugging another guy is perfectly normal. There is this guy that I really care about ((not in a gay perspective), he means the world to me. When I see he s going through a bad time, or I haven t seen him in a while, I give him a hug and it makes him and myself feel a lot better. The reason for that is because now I know that he knows I am there for him if he needs me.

I m a straight teen and I do not think it is gay to hug a friend. It s only showing that you care for that person and let s them know they have someone there for them.

Totally depends on the nature of the hug. In and of itself a hug is great between friends, but if you hold on a little too long, or do something else that makes it more romantic in nature, it CAN weird out someone who wants to keep things platonic.

lmao. It's quite simple. Theres nothing wrong with the occasional hug, depending on the type of person and your relationship with him, but it'll make him feel uncomfortable, and maybe question your sexuality if you didn't make that completely clear with your other actions.

case in piont: this gay guy I know loves to hug way too much, but just because my friend hugged too much, I wouldnt assume hes gay

It really depends on the relationship between the two guys. I have some friends that we always give each other a light or half hug. And I have other guy friends that we wouldn't even shake hands.

In my church, I see grown men hug each other all the time. I see loving fellowship or friendship nothing else.

Its totes normal for a guy to hug a guy, and girls to hug girls. Because that shows how much they mean to you. Like this one time i broke it off with my best friend, we didn't talk to each other for a couple days and we were just talkin' 'bout random things and we both said the same thing and started to laugh so hard we even got in trouble. THAT'S how MUCH me and my friends mean to each other... And its freakin' summer break and we're still friendss!!!

Hugging is ok, but if your body below the rib cage touches, then it is too much. Also, try to give a pound on the back with your hugging arm to show grit.

Come on. Hugging your guy friends is perfectly normal. Especially if he's been a close buddy of yours. If he's weirded out by it he needs to get over himself.
