How do you handle people who are really rude or mean to you !?

Keep calm. Have a thick skin.

They most likely are not reacting to you, it is usually something else that set them off.

Think about the consequences. Don't get into a verbal or physical altercation with them. If they want to take you on, if it is job related, get the manager or hr, if you are out and about, call the cops.

Even if you beat the heck out of them - what if you became liable for medical bills in a lawsuit? Or if you won a verbal fight against this person, what if it what got them so angry is a divorce or the death of a loved one or the loss of a job? Your victory would seem hollow pretty fast. Only get in confrontation as a last resort.

Treat people how you want to be treated. Don't let strong emotions stir you to do things you would never do. Don't take things personally. Remember - that person has a mother out there somewhere that loves them.

I would tell them or ignore them. But the last thing I would do is be rude back.

Get away from them as if they are carrying the plague. Treat them like air. Look right past them as if they don't exist. Erase them from the universe as you know it, forever. Then live happily ever after!

Be assertive and straightforward with them and tell them that you don't appreciate them being rude to you and that you don't have time for BS. That will shut them up.

Be super nice to them, smile. It will drive them crazy.

I smile. Makes 'em even angrier.
