Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets mistake?

In the chapter The Dueling Club, Snape disarms Lockhart with Expelliarmus. Lockhart is blasted off of his feet, but this is the only instance in which it happens. Expelliarmus is a disarming charm, and from then on the spell only affects wands, not people. Unless Lockhart is allergic to Expelliarmus....

The Disarming Charm can have different effects depending on how much force and power you put into the spell. It's not a mistake.

Recall in Prisoner of Azkaban when the trio casted the Disarming charm simultaneously at Snape. This caused him to be hurled across the room and knocked him out. In Goblet of Fire, Viktor Krum was knocked backwards.

If it's very powerful I think it can blast people off their feet. In the shrieking shack, Harry, Ron, and Hermione blasted Snape with it and he was knocked unconscious.

Just as a side note, has anyone else looked into the background as we see Lockhart on the ground? Snape appears to be doing some sort of happy-wiggle dance. Just look into the background for ten seconds or so after Snape curses Lockhart - it's very short but you're bound to see it and it cracks me up every time!

If the magic were strong enough, it could happen. It only affects wands from then on out, because wands are the only things aimed at. I highly doubt that all Snape wished to do to Lockhart was disarm him.

In other instances through the book I believe people have been knocked off their feet if someone used expelliarmus. If you point it at the want, I believe it knocks the wand away, if you hit the person with the spell it knocks them off their feet.

    Harry Potter, the 2rd one.

Harry uses expelliarmus against Snape in the shreaking shack.

He is also blasted off his feet.

Oh honestly, give this "Harrry Potter mistakes" thing a rest!

I mean, is that all you do with your life is go through every page of every book and find the smallest mistake? That's really pathetic. Get a life.
