I think the Raptors will be a playoff material this season around 45-50 wins and could be 5-6th seed in the east. Brian Colangelo has been doing his homework this offseason. Last year we saw a Raptors team which was not very tough defensively that made them a very easy victim. We will see a new version of Bargnani this year, Hedo will help, Jarret Jack is a good backup for Calderon, arrival of Antoine Wright and Reggie Evans, addition of Demarr DeRozan, return of Nesterovic and possible return of Carlos Delfino. All of this is very good news for the Raptors. Chris Bosh is gonna be terrific this year with his deep supporting crew.

It all comes down to good coaching and Jay Triano is the new coach of the Raps. The Raptors are looking forward to redeem themsleves after a pretty bad year and letting everyone know that they are capable of contending for the championships. Triano wants to keep his job and for that hes gonna have to steer his team to the right direction from the very day the Raptors play their season opener.

I think their success pretty much hinges on DeRozan's transition into the professional game. If he can score 15+ a game, which is highly possible if not likely, the Raptors can win over 45 games, and make the playoffs as a middle seed. (4-6)
