Is a melting pot from a gold mine valuable?
I have a melting pot from the Lucky Boy Gold mine in Blue River, OR. The pot was from 1890 when the mine was active. Does it have any value?

Have you considered that you might have looted from a historical site?

It may have some residual gold in it. The refining technology in 1890 was not as advanced as it is today. It may have more value as a historical artifact if you have documentation that proves it really was used in 1890.
