Yes, I believe in the literal truth of the Bible. Jesus confirmed the Old Testament and the Old Testament is the same today as it was a the time of Jesus. Jesus also promised the New Testament.
The Bible is very reliable.

I believe that the word of God when given was inspired as the Scriptures tell us. There are interesting points of translation from the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic but with a good Bible concordance if there is a query it can be looked at in the original language with the translation.
There is one verse that slipped passed the translators : 1 John 5:7: Presumably trying to prove the erroneous Trinity.
1 John 5
6 ¶ This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
( 1John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. )
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
Verse 8 is not included in the main text of modern Bibles because "It was added by a Latin student of low repute."
What it is necessary to understand is that the Scriptures Old and New Testament add up to a large picture of God's dealings with mankind and His plan and purpose. We can see how Jesus understood God's word of prophecy, for it spoke of him and his death for the sins of mankind - if they wish to serve the LORD God and benefit from His grace towards us.

Certainly not in any translation of the Bible. I believe that the original manuscripts (all long gone) were fully correct, if not in grammar and spelling, in content. But all we have today are copies of copies of manuscripts. Still I give far more credence to the extant Hebrew and Greek manuscripts than to the English translations thereof, which don't even agree with each other, let alone the Hebrew and Greek texts. I simply see too many translation errors (often deliberate) in the English Bibles.

Every word infallible, yes. Every word as literal, absolutely not. I mean for crying out loud there is poetry in the Bible that includes many metaphorical and other non-literal means of communication.
I have studied the Bible for decades and find it to be remarkably free of errors. I also note that the Bible claims directly and by implication to be "God=breathed" and therefore free of error. An honest answer.

How on earth people in the 21st century can honestly say they regard the bible as literal truth is beyond me.
All I can say is that is indicative of either a minor delusional disorder or successful brainwashing to the point the individual loses rational thought.

Yes. Are there things I don't understand? Of course. Are there things I disagree with? Definitely.
But I don't have to understand everything, and it doesn't make any difference if I agree with God or not. I trust him to know what's best and he's under no obligation to share his thoughts with me.

Correction: Do you hold YOUR INTERPRETATION of every word in the bible as infallible?
