Spam = Scam.
Spammers basically want to scam you out of your money.
I get 50 scam email per-day in my email but I just ingore them and move on, I click delete all and send them to my trash because even when you open them they could contain viruses, my family has learned that the hard way.

Spammers want you to buy their stuff, or at least get your name & address so they can sell that to make some money. Try using Gmail instead of Hotmail, it is much better at stopping spam.

You should probably just stay off of suspect sites and stop clicking on things. Spam will never go away no matter what email provider you are using.
