How to deal with a rude situation after the fact?

During the practice session after a Salsa class, I asked this girl to dance. She said no because we was tired. I said ok and went to ask someone else. Then on the same song, she went out and was dancing with someone else. Now in the situation, this was considered a breech of etiquette. But I do understand that she's fairly new to Salsa and she's fairly young (she's 17)

Now my question is, do I just let it pass and move on, but don't ask her to dance again or should I bring it up with teacher and let her bring it up? I'm assuming that if I say anything directly to her or her mother, it would make me look petty.

Let it pass but it was breech of etiquette on her behalf. Show your etiquette by being gracious about the situation. My guess is that the girl was waiting for the other guy to ask her to dance and that is why she declined your offer. It was probably nothing personal.

She just didn't want to dance with you. It is not a breach of etiquette for a lady to choose her dance partners. She was polite enough not to say, "I would love to dance, just not with you," she just made a bad choice of excuses since she went out on the floor right after that.

But then, confronting her or her mother, or even telling her teacher, seems really creepy and pushy, so that tells me a little bit about why she might not want to dance with you. Why can't you just forget about it and let it go?

I imagine that you have more then 1 person in your SALSA class.Apparently you are not on the same note as she is? Dance on over to somebody else already.

BTW if she was really rude don't you think that she would have told you NO, instead of softening up with an excuse?

Get over it! Life is for happiness, dance on with somebody who keeps step with YOU! *g*

Let it go, don't bring it up with anyone - it would look petty for any kind of follow-up. It sounded rude (what she did) but perhaps there is an innocent explanation. If you feel strongly about it, then do not ask her to dance again.

    she doesn't like you.

she was wanting to dance with someone else - obviously.

if you do or say anything you'll end up looking like a perv.

a LOT of 17 year old girls are rude. it's their job.

Just let it go and move on. She obviously doesn't wanna dance w/ you and pursuing it would only piss people off.

Omg don't be a big baby and tell on her LOL. It's no big deal, she didn't want to dance with you. Move on and ignore her.
