Seeing Jesus went to Hell , where is hell ?

Jesus went to hell Acts 2:27&31

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Where is hell ?

Matthew 12:40

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Is hell some fiery hot place in the middle of the earth of just a hole in the ground (grave) ?

    As yes! Hell!

Back in the days of the BBS's, my favorite tagline was:

"Hell can't be all that bad. Jesus spent the weekend there!!"

Yes, just a hole in the ground. Well, for Jesus, he got a cave, but the same difference, it is still a hole in the ground sideways.

Well Jesus went to "hell" when he died for mankinds sins. But was this "hell" an actual place of fiery torment? Well the bible helps us to appreciate that "Hell" is not a literal place of fiery torment but rather a symbolic term used to represent the common grave. For example Acts 2: 31 in the NIV version says this :"Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ,[f] that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay." However the same scripture from the King James version says this :"He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption." So here we can see that hell here is refferring to the grave. Not to mention that there cant be an actual fiery hell according to (Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. So how could someone be tortured in a fiery hell if the dead don't think, feel, or do anything? Especially if God IS love as 1 John 4:8 states, wouldn't sending people to hell contradict his loving kindness?

    The grave

After Job suffered the loss of his 10 children, all his livestock and his health he asked God to send him to Sheol, the grave, and remember him in the resurrection.

    I speak for myself.

I think of Hell as stagnation. Frozen, solid matter. As Jonas was in the heart of the fish, so the Son of man was in the Heart of the earth. The densest and most pressurized part of the earth. It is reality and it is solid and it is matter that occupies space, but it is real and it is part of our body. At the time of dying we will each have to decide if we identify ourselves with that matter that will be left to lie in the graves or if we identify our "selves" with loftier and lighter things (literally) like our ideas, our actions, our energies, our brainwaves, the electricity that courses our minds as opposed to the meat that makes up our brains. the equation says E=Mc2. the Eon one side is energy and the M o the other side is Mass. So we can be energy Or we can have mass and the story goes that Jesus spent those three days going through the hell of being the dead mass at the center of the earth to go all the way seeing how the other half exists, and he came through it.

    Its called the Grave...or pit.

Jesus died...he didn't go to hell....because hell does not exist.

If it did...God is not love...but the Bible says otherwise (1 John 4:8&16)

    also... Acts 7:60 says...Steven fell asleep...in death!!!

not went to hell...remember "the wage of sin is death"...

that is why our "MEDIATOR" between MEN and God...Jesus"(1 Tim 2:5,6) had to die for our sins....

    Hell....is a PAGAN beleif...originated from Ancient Egypt.

So..to answer your question..JESUS DID NOT GO TO HELL...

2nd...HELL DOES NOT EXIST..and THIRD....IF IT DID>...DEMONS and satan would be there..but they are on earth..according to Rev 12:9-13 so...where is hell???nowhere.because it doesnt exist.

It's the common grave of all mankind.

No fire, sulfur or brimstone....as the liars would have you believe.

It's a resting place in a sense, until the resurrection.

hell is just the common grave that we go to when we die. the devil wants us to believe that Jehovah God will harm us when we die in a burning place. Jehovah is a loving Father and would never harm us

    Heaven and Hell:

Before Jesus died on the cross and the veil of the holy of holies was ripped people did not go to heaven. People before the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ went to Paradise (also referred to as Abrahams bosom.

Hell consists of Paradise and Hades. There is a gulf between them. See Luke 16:19-31

When Jesus died and rose three days later, he told Mary (in John chapter 20) that he had not yet returned to the Father. He was not in heaven for three days. He was in Paradise. See Eph 4:8 it says “When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men,” (this is also quoted in Isa 61) Eph 4:9 “What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens..”
