How can I determine the horsepower of my car?

I have a 1991 Chevy Camaro RS.

It's V8 with a 305 engine.

It has headers as well. I don't know if its TPI or TBI.

Supposedly the engine has 170hp, but I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated.

Update:

It indeed is a TBI motor, I checked the VIN code.

It just seems like 170 is low for how it handles. :)

It'd be a TBI motor since the RS never came with a TPI option(unles someone converted it).

170 at the crank, figure another couple of horses for the headers. Keep in mind that's at the crank, it'll be much less at the wheels.

if its TBI it looks like a carb and if its a TPI you can see the difference TBI has about 170 but if its TPI 200 to 240 hp depending on the year

    Probably around 200 HP.
