What did Andy Warhol meant when he said "In the future everybody will be famous for 15 minutes"?

    He meant just that. He more than likely was anticipating the effects of mass-media. And it seems that he was correct. The internet alone can bring someone from obscurity to national attention in a very short period of time and they then fade back out of sight. A prime example is, "Joe the Plummer" Then there is television and radio,and the movies. Our society/culture is now filled with some people that virtually do nothing but yet they are known.personalities. I could make a list,but I really don't want to add anymore time to their 15 minutes.. Especially since most have exceeded that amount of time already.

    That at somepoint in time, everyone will have a time where they are the center of attention.
