What the hell kind of BB gun made in the last 40 years contains large amounts of lead (Or any at all)? I suppose if you either started chewing on, or licked your hands after using it, you would, over time, become poisoned by the lead, but, really, what the hell kind of BB guns is made of lead?

Yes, if they get shot having it in their bodies would not be a good thing.
Humans and non-humans no matter what age don't react well to having those pallets in their bodies. Also having the used pallets linger in nature can be considered pollution.
If one is to use a bb gun it should be in a closed controlled environment shooting tin cans and cleaning up after once self. And do make sure to properly recycle those cans when you are done with them.

I don't agree with fire arms.
Mistakes happen and nobody needs guns for hunting food.
