1988 mitsubishi truck won't fire?
We have replaced the coil and resistor block, distributor, and computer and still no spark from coil.
I have good voltage up to the coil but when it is turned over there is no spark from the coil wire . We followed the wiring diagram and all wires are where they should be.

If theres no spark from your coil then the coils not wired right. Try tracing out the wires from the coil to see if theres a cut, short. etc.... If you have trouble with that try to find a wiring diagram for your truck. BTW is your truck a mighty max??

it sounds like you might need a coil but there is another thing on those cars ! the crank position sensor on the side of the block on the front relays what position the crank is in for the coil to fire there could also be a cam position sensor that tells the computer that the cam is turning! hope this helps!

Some vehicles will not allow spark if there is no oil pressure.
When you're cranking it, does the gauge show pressure?
