If you're planning on an advanced degree, then you need to find a professor that is doing research in an area that you're interested in. And plan on going to that school for graduate studies.

Typically, most graduate chemical engineering programs do not accept their own undergrades. This is to make the students more well rounded. so you shouldn't plan on going to the same undergraduate and graduate schools.

My suggestion is that you go to a major university in your state and save the out of state $$$ to get your undergraduate degree. Then decide what you want to do.

fyi... I've a Ph.D. in Ch.E. and have hired and promoted many a BA/BS Ch.E. over my career. I would not give extra interview points for going to TA&M over WVU or vice versa

I would have to say Texas A&M. The school has a better reputation than WVU not only for engineering, but for overall educational quality.
