Sounds like pneumonia. You don't have to be short of breath to have pneumonia. You need to get to a doctor today.

The pain in the lower part of your breast could be due to all the coughing. Happened to me before and I went to the doctor and that is what he told me. But I really suggest going to the doctor, could be one of numerous things. Pneumonia, COPD(cardio obstruction pulmanary dysfunction). But go to the doctor just to be on the safe side.

ive also had a cough for a good part of the summer. ive tried drinking really hot water (through a straw, if it helps) which supresses it. peppermints will help a bit, too. the mint clears your throught. coughing happens because your body is trying to expel something that might block the esophagus, be it phlegm, food, etc. you also cough when your throuat is dry to remove dust or the like. so the best thing to do is find something to clear it.
