Why are my lovebirds not breeding?

One of my lovebirds I am sure is a female. I got her from a trusted breeder. The other lovebird I have always assumed was a male. He acts like one. While she made the nest, he sat outside and "protected" it. He never once took any nest materials inside the nest. He does sleep inside at night with her. Occasionally I catch him feeding her.

Why won't they mate? They are the only two birds on the cage.

Their wings are clipped. They have free range to roam on the cage all day long.

They are located close to the kitchen. Could this be a problem.

They are away from windows but can see if it is dark or light outside.

Could room temp be an issue? She used to be outside and now I keep her inside.

I'd like to see her produce a clutch and any help would be appreciated.

they are both NOT peached face lovebirds. Other than that, I can't tell you exactly what they both are.

Update:

The nest is in a wooden box.

Well birds breed depending on their age.Female birds lay eggs when they are 1 year of age and older.According to your description of where the cage is,it seems to be perfect. You might want to wait a little longer. If you are 100% sure that the two birds are female and male, then they should mate sometimes soon.Good Luck!
