Help me choose the best snowboard, please?
I've narrowed it down to the following. I've just started riding this past winter and loovved it, so I want my own. Which do you think it best for a beginner/starting intermediate rider?

Yeah... I have my favorites but I want opinions. And I love, love, love the last board but it's pretty pricey (boo) and I think it's for like... pros lol.
Any insight? Thanks :)
Oh - I figured the sidecut should be about 7.6 for me...? And I know already that I want a wood core (is there an alternative, even?).
Thanks everyone :).
Bristol - Well price isn't SO much of a big deal, I just want a board that's easy for me to learn on so I thought it should be a bit more flexible and the sidecut on 5 is small (which means more difficult to control turns if I don't exactly know how, right?).
Cassie - And I'm kinda scared of "the park" loll. So I'd probably hold off on that, but really none of these are good All-Mountain ones ya think?
Okay I'm giving up on this xD. I'm getting one of the following. Lemme know which you think is best:
1. #3
2. #5
3. A K2 board. Not sure which yet but apparently it's good for beginner/intermediate riders.
And does it really matter how flexible the board is? I can get used to a stiff one, right?

Alright heres the down low yes there is an alternative to full wood core you can get carbon inserts which simply stiffen your board. As for all mountain there more stiffer than a freestyle, but thats about the only difference other than stuff like dual sidecut but there only on higher end models than these. You can deff get away with using a freestyle board it might actually be better because it will be built to take a beating. If you came into my shop i would suggest you get this board

Killer graphic all aspen wood core rubber inserts under your binding, i have the rubber inserts and absolutely love them, this board and all salomon boards ride excelent right out of the plastic, and hey if you ever get bored and decide you want to give the park a try this board will more than handle it, Also a very flexible and forgiving board. Hope this helped but the best thing to do would be check with your local shop and get there advice.

actually, i wouldn't recommend any of these. you have the right idea, but all of these seem to be either too expensive or will have no versatility once you start going to do the park. i started with the forum craft, which was a great beginner board that could also take me into the park to do tricks. you'll definitely want to start with an all-mountain board. try some other companies like salomon or k2. they have a great selection and are not too expensive.

number 5 is the best but if you don't want to spend that much go with number 2 because its an all mountain board since your a beginner you probably will not be spending all your time in the park
number 4 should be taken off your list of consideration, morrow snowboards are low end junk that will end up holding you back

from my experiance with the brands, rossingnol and rome are the only ones that make good boards. my old morrow cracked under normal circimstances so i dont trust them. id go with the rome personally
